FAQ

1. When will I receive my books?

After you place your order, you will receive an email from FedEx or UPS with shipping information. This notice will be sent to the email address you entered when you made your purchase and will include a tracking number. You will receive a second email when your order is delivered. By using the tracking number provided in your email notification, you can check with FedEx (http://www.fedex.com/us/track/) or UPS (https://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html) regarding the status of your order.

Campus Text is located in Northern California. Most shipments to the west coast generally deliver in 1 business day after shipment from Campus Text. Other locations usually deliver in 2 business days. Most, but not all orders received before 9:30 am Pacific Time on business days (Mondays through Fridays except holidays) will ship within one day. Please check your email and track your shipment to see when your package is due to be delivered.

2. What if my package shows as delivered but I don’t have it?

First, please check the shipping address on your order. Then look around the shipping location for your package; it may be at a different entrance or there may be a notice of attempted delivery. If you are in a multi-unit building, please check to see if someone else accepted the package. Shipments to businesses and apartment buildings are often signed for by receiving departments or mail rooms so we suggest you check if someone else, including a neighbor, has signed for or received your package. If you have exhausted all reasonable possibilities for locating your package and still have not found it, call our office during regular business hours, Mondays through Fridays (except holidays) 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time and we will endeavor to help locate your package. Our toll free number is 888-606-TEXT (8398).

3. How can I reach FedEx or UPS with delivery questions?

You can reach FedEx at 1-800-463-3339 and UPS at 1-800-752-5877.

4. Can I cancel or change my order?

Since most of our orders received by 2:30 pm Eastern Time on a regular business day are shipped the same day, our ability to cancel or change orders is limited. Check our Return Policy to see whether you can return your order, in whole or in part.

5. I got a message that my order failed. What can I do to process this order?

Most failed orders are a result of credit card-related issues. To make inquiries about a "failed order" you should contact the bank that issued your credit card to find out why the transaction failed.

6. My transaction failed and I was charged several times for a purchase, yet my order was not processed. Why?

Many banking institutions will set aside funds necessary to fulfill a transaction, even if it is not initially successful just in case it does go through. These set-aside funds are not actually charged to your card, but they might be removed from your available credit line for several days (usually 2-4 days depending on your credit card or financial institution). Campus Text does not receive nor do we reserve your funds for failed orders; we only receive funds from your credit card or banking institution when an order is successfully processed. You should follow up with your financial institution or credit card company for any issues related to failed transactions.

7. If I decide to return an item and receive a return authorization, will I be reimbursed for my shipping costs?

If you decide to return an item and have secured a written return authorization from us via email, you are responsible for the shipping costs to return the item. You should return it via Fed Ex, UPS or the USPS so you can track and validate that it has been received by us. We will only refund the cost of the product and not any associated shipping costs to deliver it to you. Refunds are only made in the form of a credit against the credit card used for the original purchase. Again, we encourage you to check our Return Policies.

8. I placed my order but I have decided to upgrade my shipping. How can I do that?

Since we are very efficient and try hard to process orders on the same day we receive them (business days, Mondays through Fridays except holidays), we can only change your shipping method if you call us (toll free, 888-606-8398) before we process your order. Please call with the change you’d like to make and provide us with your credit card information on the phone to cover the additional shipping costs. Shipping and order changes can only be made over the phone, by speaking directly with a member of the Campus Text staff, and not by leaving messages.

9. Can I buy used textbooks from Campus Text?

We have found that most MBA students prefer new to used textbooks. Rather than sell used textbooks where the condition of the book cannot be guaranteed, we opt to sell only new books and to discount the prices to make them more attractive to you as the consumer. Most used textbooks are sold at approximately 75% of the cost of a new book whereas we sell our books brand new for between 70-90% of the cost of a new book.

10. Does Campus Text sell digital e-Books and how do I get them?

Yes, we do sell e-book versions of some textbooks and they are indicated as such on our website. If you order a digital product or e-Book you will receive an email from us, usually within one business day, with an access code to secure the digital product and instructions on how to retrieve the product online. If you order the book after 2:30pm on a Friday or just before a holiday, you should receive an email with the code on the first business day following your purchase.

11. Does Campus Text offer free shipping?

We provide free ground shipping on all orders over $99. If you elect to place your order with either next-day or second-day shipping options, freight charges will be applied to your order.

12. Does Campus Text buy back books?

Since we only sell new textbooks we do not buy back books.

13. Do any of your books come with CDs, DVDs or Access Cards?

Some of the titles we sell are packaged with a CD, DVD or Internet Access Card. Any such items are clearly defined in our e-commerce store.

14. My school or program does not have an arrangement with Campus Text. Can I still purchase books from you?

Yes. On our home page, we have a Search Menu Bar where you can enter a book title, author or ISBN. If we have that book in our inventory, you can purchase it even if your school has not asked us to sell books to their students. You can always call us at 888-606-8398 to inquire about books you can’t find on our site.

15. Can I purchase books from Campus Text on my mobile phone, i-Pad or electronic devices other than a laptop or desktop computer?

Yes, our store has been built to work effectively on any device that can be connected to the internet.

16. I have been told by my program that I can secure my books from Campus Text and that I won’t have to pay for them. How do I do that?

If your program directed you to our website and said your can order books for your classes as part of your tuition, you should have a login and password code that was provided to you by your program. Enter this information to access a course listing with all of your textbooks. Place your order and we will send your books without charging you.
